Update: Lara and Sian completed the half marathon and are pictured below with their medals.
Baby Milk Action is delighted that Lara Cowpe and Sian Evans will be running in the Cardiff Half Marathon on 6 October 2013 in support of Baby Milk Action - and mothers and babies everywhere who benefit from our work holding the baby food industry to account.
Lara and Sian have known each other for many years. They joined a local women's running group (Women Running Penarth) and, having completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in 2011, Lara decided to take up the challenge once again – joined, this time, by Sian.
Both women are raising money for Baby Milk Action, a cause close to Lara's mother’s heart who has worked as a midwife and health visitor. Both women want to raise awareness of the issues campaigned on by Baby Milk Action, such as protecting breastfeeding and providing accurate and independent information on formula feed – issues which are still very much prevalent today.
Use the button below to sponsor them through our secure online payment system, hosted on Romancart (payments by PayPal or Realex).
You are not too late to add your contribution and boost their fundraising total.
Note: Baby Milk Action is a not-for-profit organisation.
