I gave four presentations at this marvellous nutrition conference - which was the first of its kind to be free of corporate funding - and it showed.
The overall theme of the congress was Knowledge, Policy and Action. This means the translation of the best evidence, to rational policies and effective programmes that will protect, preserve, and improve public health throughout the world.

Synopsis: Recognition of the successful use of ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) in the treatment of severe acute malnutrition. Criticism of the wide use of RUTF for prevention of malnutrition. Warning that wider use of RUTF may well undermine breastfeeding and local food system.
