It is with enormous sadness and shock to say  that Andy (Andrew) Chetley, the author of many publications such as the Baby Killer Scandal and the Politics of Baby Foods, and one of the key figures in baby milk campaign from the beginning -   died on Wednesday 17th October.  Gay Palmer and  Andy brought me into this issue.

It was very sudden - he discovered that he had cancer just in August but it was already too far advanced for treatment.

Those of us who knew him  are still in shock at the news but I'm sure, like us,  you will want to send your best wishes to his wife Ana and their children at this sad  time.

If you have any memories you want to share please let me know.

Condolences to Andy´s family and friends

Dear friends and family,

We are very sad to hear that Andy has left us to pass on to what we hope the "happy hunting grounds".
My first meeting with Andy took place in 1984 during the IBFAN-conference in Mexico City, when the Nestlé boycott was on the agenda. Andy was there as a journalist and he helped me and gave me support when I was connected with the Swedish radio to give a statement about the Nestlé boycott.  I was very nervous and would not have coped without Andy´s support.
The last time I met Andy was in Uppsala in 2006, when I worked for the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. We had arranged a big happening at Uppsala Castle with 300+ participants from all over the world discussing "What Next"  on climate, development and equity. Andy was one of the dear friends of the Foundation working with the issue on antibiotic resistance.

We will all miss Andy, and I can talk for NAFIA, DHF and also IHCAR
